Rupert Grint is known for his role in the Harry Potter movies. The Harry Potter franchise earned quite a hefty fortune. Unfortunately, as the other main characters of the franchise, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson’s careers continued to flourish after their Harry Potter days began to end, Grint struggled to land steady roles.
After Grint had taken some poor accounting advice, he was forced to pay $1 million to the IRS, in 2016. He tried to appeal the order, but it was denied.
